Earth

In the last post, my friend suggested in the comment section that I change Baby's nickname to Yoda. I like it.

I like it so much I'm also changing Indiana's nickname to Parker. As in Peter Parker.

I may change my mind again. We'll see.

Anyway, on to this week's quote.

Me:"I don't think I have anything funny to post for tomorrow"

*Later*

Mimi:"Mom, I love Earth... because we live on it."

Well said, Mimi.

Beep Beep Beep

While sitting at the computer and hearing a car alarm going off in the neighborhood, I start thinking:"That's not our car. I'm sure the car's owner will turn that off soon."
*Alarm still blaring*
Me, still thinking:"Yup, so glad that's not our car."
*Alarm still blaring*
Me, still thinking:"That car's owner is going to feel really silly when they finally turn that alarm off."
*Alarm still blaring*
Mimi, as she hands me the car keys:"I'm sorry I pressed the honking song!"

Baby C wanted to be in on the action of leaf raking. The trouble is we didn't have enough rakes for him. So here he is in his warm Po costume shoveling nothing, but feeling very grown up. (Please excuse the silly squeaking that our camera makes.)

It wasn't until I was taking the top picture that I realized how similar these outfits are.

Trick-Or-Treat Part Four: The 30th

Yes, there is more...

First, Baby laughing at the church party, a.k.a. Trunk-Or-Treat.
Then some carnival games. Mimi was so talented at eating a doughnut off of a string, it was a cake walk.
Speaking of a cake walk.
Trunk-or-treating.
Greg pulled out the Handy Manny costume again this year.
Mimi:"I wish candy was good for you body."
Me:"me too."

Trick-Or-Treat Part Three: The 28th

In our town they don't want trick-or-treating to interfere with any religious observances or football, so if Halloween falls on a weekend night, it's switched. For 3 years I've worried that we will be the only ones out trick-or-treating, but so far so good.

Trick-Or-Treat Part One: The Costumes

First, Baby C as Yoda.
My wildly, talented sister knitted this darling Yoda hat for Baby C. We borrowed the robe from our kind neighbors.
Second, Mimi as a pink doggie and Indiana as Peter Parker.

Me:"What do you want to be for Halloween?"
Indiana:"Spider-man"
Me:"That's nice, but I don't like masks. what else would you like to be?"
Indiana:"Well, then, Peter Parker, before he was bit by a spider and became Spider-man "
Me:"Good idea"
