Fitting In

When I dropped Yoda off at preschool his teacher, Miss Tonya said they were going to lay down on big paper and trace an "X" with their bodies.

It's as very cute idea, but in my head I thought, "there's no way Yoda will do that".

When he got home he was very excited to show his "X".  We put the paper on the ground, but he wouldn't lay down on it to make the "X" with his body.

So I asked him:"did Miss Tonya trace you on this paper?"
His response,"No, Landon (another kid at school) laid down for this 'X'."
*u-huh*
but he did lay down for a photo, hmmm...

Mimi is still trying to fit into things she's just too big for!

Here she is in Yoda's pj's.

And she has found a new basket to relax in.

the basket makes another appearance

Mimi:"I a wobot, I a wobot" [I-am-a-robot, I-am-a-robot]
Granddad hard at work changing one of the 100's of outlets in the house.
(If you look close, on the counter, you can see the PILE of plugs and switches that dad and Greg replaced)

playing with Mimi

It's cold and yucky outside, and we are playing the part by staying in PJ's all day and playing with whatever we can find around the house. Here's her "boots". She LOVES this basket. I can't keep anything in it.

"It a grog damp!" [it's a frog stamp]

name change

Superman will now be known as Indiana. He still claims that:"when I grow up I will be a superhero and fly", but since he hasn't taken the Indiana hat off in almost a week, I'm switching his name for the blog. It's funny since he refuses ANY nickname in real life.
Mimi will keep her nickname, though, because it's fun to type. But she also refuses any nickname. How hilarious is it that Mimi sits in this basket and reads?

This next story is about me, so don't read if you're not interested in a good NJ story...

In our new church congregation I was asked to help out in the Relief Society (women's group). The president of the group is a woman that I knew in high school in NEW JERSEY, she's very cool and, in my mind, not a typical LDS woman.

She feels like she is not gentle enough to handle some situations that may come up. I told Greg that I feel like telling her that perhaps not all situations need to be handled gently. Greg just laughed and said :"this will be a new era of 'tough love' for the Relief Society".

I heart NJ!

I didn't think it was possible but there are crazier sports fans than those in Boston! Ohio State fans are NUTS! One new comer commented that it's like everyday is a pep rally. Really, it's so crazy here! So, at church a bunch of men were talking about the "big game" from Saturday and I curiously asked what the score of the world series game was--blank stares.

Wedgie

Mimi and her new "I'm not paying attention to you" look. That's a muffin she's eating. And that's a toy basket she's sitting in.

I don't think calling these two "monkeys" would be descriptive enough. They are much more active then your average monkey...but I glad...most days...other days I'm exhausted.

Mimi gave Greg a kiss last night on his scruffy face--she reacted with "ouch". We discussed who has a beard and who has smooth faces. 3 smooth faces, one scruffy.
Me:"Will you have a beard when you grow up?"
Superman:"Superheros don't have beards."

Warning
Don't read this if you don't like potty humor. Not that Superman was making a joke, but we sure laughed!

Me:"Why do you keep touching your backside?"
Superman:"Clothes keeping getting in there."
