Halloween 2015
I mentioned I'm behind on my posts!
Yoda was Clark Kent turning into Superman.
Mimi was Lucy from Peanuts.
Parker was "#" with a hipster hat on.

A few things that happened in May
Helmet and no bike, wearing pj's outside, and two different shoes...
Mimi singing with all her might.
Greg took the kiddos to the bakery and had them design my birthday cake, so cute and yum!
I asked Greg to sing me a song with his guitar for my birthday, it was awesome!
Mother's day breakfast in bed and pinking shears :)

Superman Flies Again
Yoda:"I need a super cape!"
and once he had it on, he ran to play with Mimi and Parker and yelled:"Just me, Superman!"
This is the first time he really got excited about wearing a cape and it was crazy-cute! It made me think of Parker back in 2007 and Halloween in 2007.

D.C. Continued...
Our first night in D.C. we visited with Greg's brother and his family.
The only photos of the night were taken by Yoda :)
Baby H wasn't feeling well, poor girl!
Our next day in D.C. was CRAZY HOT again, so we hit the monuments in the morning before the temperature hit 100 degrees.
Vietnam Memorial
Mimi looking at the Lincoln Monument on the penny.
Just
before this photo Yoda tried to go under the little rope and stand next
to Lincoln. This did not go over well with the volunteer who went
white in the face trying to stop him.
There she is in the yellow hat.
Koren War Memorial
Every monument I got choked-up trying explain war to the kiddos, it wasn't easy.
Random loud helicopter
Crazy hot
MLKjr. Memorial
Finding the White house
Finally inside!
We went to the Air and Space Museum. I
think it's the law that you have to go here while visiting D.C. Because
the place was wall-to-wall people.
A little Modern Art education--Henry Moore sculpture.
Smithsonian--Natural History Museum
We
lost Mimi for a few minutes because she couldn't stop herself from
finding all the fossils. The last we heard of her was her saying:"Let's
find more fossils!" and she was GONE! The place was SUPER crowded and
I was in a PANIC! She finally realized she was by herself and came
running--phew!
Up and down stairs carrying the stroller was sometimes quicker then walking to find a ramp. Again, it was CRAZY HOT!
Another Smithsonian--This time American History.
Checking out the comics and making a surprised face.
Kermit!
Choo-Choo!
I put the camera on the stroller and set the auto-timer. This was the result.
But for this shot, a man stopped us to take a picture. His wife assured us he would take a better photo, yup, she was right.
(Yoda occasionally likes to do this stance while I'm taking a picture, in this one he is admiring his shoes as well :)

My hero
Me:"Would you please get some milk out of fridge for Mimi?"
Indiana:"And now for another exciting adventure of *du-du-du-da!* 'Saving Baby!'"
________________________
Indiana, while shopping for a new lamp for his room:"Oh, a dance globe!"
Me:*snicker*
Indiana:"What? Sometimes I don't like to dance in the daylight."
________________________
They were watching a DVD with the Spanish dubbing turned on and suddenly Mimi looked at me:"Wha'd he day?"=What did he say?"

Hair cuts
Me:"Do you like your hair cut?"
Indiana:"Yup, I'm adorable"
______________________

Mimi, at the store, when she saw something like this:"It has a... it has a... it has a HAT!"
______________________
When her Trader Joe's balloon flew to the ceiling Mimi called out:"Mom! Will you help me rescue it?"
Me handing her the balloon:"Here you go."
Mimi:"We Supermains!
Later when it no longer was floating, Mimi:"it not flying anymore"

How was YOUR Pi Day?
Ours was great, thanks for asking.
In fact, we found that there is a family here in Ohio who celebrate it in high fashion. We headed to their house for a real Pi/Pie feast. Yummy homemade quiche, pizza pies, strawberry-rhubarb pie, apple, and Boston Cream. There has been more attention placed on Pi day this year, what with the recent square root day hype, so when I went to the store for the (sad) apple pie, the thought actually crossed my mind that the store would be sold out.

Super Hero
Me:"Boba Fett"-(From Star Wars)
SM:"He's a superhero"
M:"No, he's a bounty hunter"
SM:"But he has his hands are on his hips!"
In that same mind-frame:
The other day I set out the hot oatmeal to cool (think 3 little bears). To make it cool faster started blowing. Suddenly my hands were on my hips. Yeah, I looked like Superman, I'll spare you from a picture of the the event--I was in my pj's.

Wedgie
Mimi and her new "I'm not paying attention to you" look. That's a muffin she's eating. And that's a toy basket she's sitting in.
I don't think calling these two "monkeys" would be descriptive enough. They are much more active then your average monkey...but I glad...most days...other days I'm exhausted._____________________________________________________________
Mimi gave Greg a kiss last night on his scruffy face--she reacted with "ouch". We discussed who has a beard and who has smooth faces. 3 smooth faces, one scruffy.
Me:"Will you have a beard when you grow up?"
Superman:"Superheros don't have beards."
_____________________________________________________________
Warning
Don't read this if you don't like potty humor. Not that Superman was making a joke, but we sure laughed!
Me:"Why do you keep touching your backside?"
Superman:"Clothes keeping getting in there."

Superman Birthday Party!
"Can I lick it and see if it's delicious?"
Every year at Superman's birthday I think: "It's OK that Superman is one year older, but at least he's not 5--that's old." But now it's happened, he's 5 and loves it.
At the Superman party we decorated capes, flew paper airplanes decorated with Superman stickers, ate Superman cookies, played "Capture the Bad Guy", "Pin the 'S' on the Cape", and ran an obstacle course where they rescued stuffed animals from Lex Luther. It was so great.

Trick Or Treat
This is what Superman says at the door: "I'm Superman, this is my sister, she's a ladybug" He then says "Trick or Treat" and then "Thank you".
Mimi says "Ween!" for Happy Halloween and "De Du" for Thank you.
We trick-or-treated with two boys from our street, it was really fun, but even funnier was how many grown-ups came along-2 for every kid! I'll put more pictures up later.
Superman didn't want a whole suit, just jeans and a t-shirt (just like me). And I didn't want him to wear red underpants on the outside:) Good thing it was a warmish night or he would have had to wear a coat and then if all you saw were his pant legs, you would have NO idea what he was.
Mimi getting down to the Halloween music. Can you see her tiny antenna?

Paul McCartney/Superman
I love Paul McCartney, I just do. Our "Superman" loves Superman, he talks about him ALL the time. A few weeks ago Greg and I celebrated the 13th anniversary of the day we met by buying Paul's latest album. On the back of the CD there was this spare picture ready to peel off and stick anywhere. Superman saw it where Greg had hung it up in the kitchen for me to look at anytime of the day. He has no idea who it is, but decided that he knew what it is that Paul is doing in this picture, this is what he said:"See this guy? He's turning into Superman"
