Scanner Fun

I've been playing with the scanner some more and looking through old photos from before I felt 100% confident with the digital camera. Anyway here is my granddad, one of the men that my boy is named after. Not sure why I didn't get my dad in the shot for a 4 generations picture, but that's one more way I'm silly. BTW, this picture is from 2003.

Greg's Father's Day

We did breakfast in bed again. Superman carried the juice, Mimi the cups--they did nothing else to help, but they felt really proud anyway. Later SM complained about the crumbs in the bed:"Its getting seeds in there."

I asked Greg to put a clip in Mimi's hair to keep it out of her food and face, this is what he did. It's a pink binder clip!

Preschool Graduation

Superman graduated from preschool this week. I'm so emotional I can't even tell you. The ceremony was going up the stairs and down the slide and getting the diploma. Very few of the children got it right:) SM wasn't the only one.

Back Yard Creatures

The turkeys, groundhogs, and rabbits have been returning, this time of year it's with friends. Check out the babies that live in our back yard. I didn't get a photo of my weirdo neighbors though. Click on the photos for a better look.

Birthday Party

I was telling Superman the letters to write in a birthday card for one of his friends:"H-A-P-P-Y"
Superman:"I don't know" and starts walking away.
Me:"get back here and finish, please...B-I-T-H-R-D-A-Y"
SM:"I don't know"
Me:"Oh" then finally understood why he kept walking away-- he doesn't know "y" as in "why?".

My father in law is one of the luckiest people I know, he wins stuff, but since he already had a Wii and great set of golf clubs, he gave them to Greg...so that list of luckiest people should include Greg...

I tried taking a picture of Superman with his Mii, but he kept moving, so I took a video. The Mii moves slowly to the music, so did Superman.

Reality check

Yikes, things like this don't seem real until you or someone you love is involved.

Summer Cold

Mimi had a little summer cold this week. She was a little cuddly, when she wasn't throwing a tantrum because she was angry about feeling sick.

(Back Story)
Superman was once afraid of nothing. He could be thrown 6 feet in the air, with no worries, sleep in a dark room, with no teddy bear or night light, run in the busy street. Nothing made him jump, and if it did, it also made him laugh.
Suddenly he is a little afraid of things. First he needed a night light, then a teddy bear, now some nice music, he doesn't like being in his dad's arms too high, he's even cautious before running in the street.

(Funny Story)
The other night we put SM down at the normal time, and suddenly heard him crying. Because of his historical lack of fear, we knew something had to be wrong. Greg went up:"what's wrong, buddy?"
SM:"all I hear is *sound effect of Darth Vader breathing*"
Did I also mention is recent obsession with Star Wars?

Dumping Wong!!!

If Mimi has something she wants you to know, she will repeat herself until you repeat what she has said. She will not accept your phonetic understanding of what she said, it must be what she is actually trying to say. This morning she said with urgency "dumping wong! dumping wong! dumping wong! dumping wong!" about a million times. Finally, I got it:"something wrong?" Mimi:"Yes, I got a boo-boo". BTW, there was no boo-boo to be seen.
