Mimi:"Don't see it."

Me:"Here, wear these camouflage shorts."
Parker:"Probably no one will see my legs."
Me:"What?"

Storm cooking

Thank Heaven, we still have power.

We are keeping busy with some baking. In the past few days we have made sugar cookies, cinnamon rolls, chocolates, and Rice Krispie Treats. Maybe even some fancy popcorn with our new popcorn popper. All good news for the taste buds, bad for the waist-line...

What are some things you do keep busy in the storm?

Camouflage

This was such a terrible week, it made me want to hide. Maybe when I recover I'll go into the details.

(This is Mimi pretending to be a dinosaur and eating leaves. I nearly wet my pants laughing at this. I'm sure she didn't realize how perfectly she blended in, but it made me laugh, so I'm sharing. Also, she dressed herself. I find that when her clothes look like they almost match, then grown ups will know it's my fault, but if it looks like this, well, then everyone will know it was her creative genius at work.)

Just as a hint of sorts, here's Greg showing the kiddos his stitches. They were fascinated.

And so this isn't the worst post ever, here's Baby Yoda doing something cute.

I found some old quotes and I can't remember if I posted them or not...

So here they are...

Me, while helping Mimi with her shoes:"These shoes are too little for you."
Mimi:"My feet are growing NOT my shoes are little"
__________

Me, while helping Mimi get dressed:"Why do you keep getting so big?"
Mimi:"'Cause I ate so much food and I growed!"
__________

Parker, while hunting Turkeys with my dad back in 2009:"When are we going to destroy the Turkeys?"
*Later, when they didn't see any* "The turkeys won again today, let's go have dinner"
__________

Parker, while dropping a pile of paper:"Is it just me, or are these papers falling out?"

Parker to Mimi:"It's not smooshball, it's smootball!"

Parker:"When I grow up I'm going to have a blog and call it Pizza with Pasta and Sauce."
